Terms of Use
Plain language, short version: the seals you generate are yours to use, and the names are carefully prepared suggestions rather than official certifications.
Using the site
SealsCrafter is free to use for personal and commercial purposes. Please do not scrape it in bulk, resell the site or its data as your own product, or attempt to break, overload or bypass its limits. Automated requests are welcome at reasonable volume through the documented MCP/API endpoints; abusive traffic may be rate-limited or blocked.
Your generated seal images
The PNG you generate is yours. Download it, print it, stamp it, put it on a business card, a book cover, a tattoo design or a product you sell. No attribution is required and we claim no ownership over the images you create. You do not need permission and you do not need to tell us.
Chinese names are careful suggestions
Every name here is prepared with its characters, pronunciation and meaning explained, and the tables are checked against real usage. Even so, a Chinese name carries family and regional dimensions that a website cannot see: characters that are common in one generation read as dated in another, and a name that is elegant in one region can sound odd in another.
So treat the names as informed suggestions, not certifications. Before a name goes on a passport, a legal document, an official registration or a carved stone you intend to keep, have a native speaker read it. If you find a mistake, tell us and it gets fixed — see contact.
Fonts and third-party material
The seal-script typefaces remain under their own licences: JFZSKSealScript under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, and the supplement Chongxi Small Seal (崇羲篆體) by Wang Xinyi and Ji Xusheng under CC-BY-ND 3.0 TW, credited in the footer with licence texts shipped alongside the font files. Those licences govern the font data itself, not the images you generate with it.
No warranty
The site and its output are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We work to keep the names accurate and the site available, but we cannot promise that every page is free of errors or that the service will never be interrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, SealsCrafter is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or of a name or image taken from it — including, for example, costs connected with a name that later turns out not to suit its purpose, or with reprinting material. This does not limit any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the site changes; the current version is always this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions: [email protected]. Privacy is covered separately in the privacy policy.
